Introducing Leivi Saltman™

Leivi Saltman was born in 1994 and is a London based photographer that specialises in event and architectural photography. Leivi's interest in photography started at a young age and after studying Photography A-level, he attended Birmingham City University to further widen his knowledge in photography. An Overview

For Wedding Season, we collaborated with Leivi Saltman to find out his recommendation of the perfect lighting kit for wedding ceremonies. He created two signature kits that empower you to bring the best of your photography skills to the forefront of your exciting career or hobby. Leivi also takes us through a series of photographs that he took during his wedding shoots explaining what equipment he used and why.

£500 - Signature Wedding Kit

For this photo, I used 2 V1s that were placed on both sides of the Chuppa, which is a canopy used during Jewish wedding ceremonies. I had the V1s pointing towards the ceiling to bounce off and create an even light. Since the ceiling was white, it acted as a nice softbox.

£500 - Signature Wedding Kit

For this photo, I used one AD200 Pro and placed it on the staircase, then angled it slightly downwards towards the couple. I used a 100cm Pro White Reflective Umbrella on the light to spread the light over the couple. This created a nice dramatic effect that captured the viewers' attention.

£1000 - Signature Wedding Kit

This photo was a lot trickier to capture. I used 3 AD200 Pros, one in the far left-hand corner and another one diagonally opposite it, both using bare bulbs. This shot would've also been possible using the AD100 Pros as well. Both of these lights were pointed towards the ceiling to create an even light. The final light that I had was behind one of the stands for the chuppa, to create a little bit of backlight if needed.
