I've purchased many books and watch many a YouTube video. But this book is by far the best guide I have.

Garry has pulled on all his experience as a commercial photographer, where time and getting it right first time was the prime driver.

Not only does it give you the how's but also gives you the why's.

I learned more about flash photography in the first 30 pages than I thought possible.

Thanks Garry, a Masterclass - you should be charging more.

Talk about shedding the light on lighting! This explains all the key concepts quickly and concisely in just the right amount of detail. Will be an excellent reference for years to come.

Of course you could find much this information around the internet but not in such a ordered and coherent manner as this.

For £5, you really just can't go wrong, plus it'll save you a fortune in kit that you probably don't need (and tell you why).

I really enjoyed reading this book and have learned a lot from it. It covers more than the subject of lighting and explains why and for whom you take pictures.

Buying stuff for your studio is really well covered as well as using it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is into tabletop photography and more.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  Clear explanations and reproducable results!

This book was everything I was looking for in starting my photographic studio. Garry Edwards is a master teacher as well as photographer. His explanations are clear.

I found that reading a section and then immediately going to my studio and practicing made so much more sense than any lighting book or video that I had read or watched.

I will be referring to this often in the future!
