The BOYA BY-M1 Pro is a clip-on lavalier microphone that is designed for many different uses such as presenting, performing, streaming, making videos, etc. It is compatible with smartphones and DSLR cameras. The mic features a –10 dB pad switch, which allows it to record louder speakers without overloading. This condenser mic features an omnidirectional pickup pattern, which helps to deliver consistent audio levels regardless of where the subject is facing from the microphone.
It is powered by an included LR44 battery, the power pack features the pad switch and offers a headphone jack for monitoring. There are three settings available on the power pack that allows you to use the mic with a smartphone, camera, or to shut it off and save power. The 6m cable offers more movement for the user and the package also includes a foam windscreen, 1/4” adapter, lapel clip, and a carry case.
The BY-M1 Pro advances on the BY-M1, adding a playback mode that allows you to listen to your audio recordings in real-time from the device, as well as a -10dB sound attenuation to help decrease any unwanted sounds entering your recordings.
